Inspired by The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I loved how the fairy’s could create and ride any animal they wanted but more often they road giant toads. Seemed like a bumpy but fun ride to me! The fairy’s described in the book were terrifying and intricate, I enjoyed creating a fairy that I expect to find in my mother’s garden instead.

This was my first reduction print, which means the same block was used for the print, with more carved away each layer. I started with the green layer, then pink, then to dark grey.

Loosely inspired by Wichcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix. Who is a white man writing from teenage girls pov. BUT I will say I think he did a pretty good job and I did not clock that the author was a man until about half way through. Important story to read about the history of pregnant and unwed teens in the 60-70’s. I recommend this book!

For all the witches that are tired of being cut off in traffic. This print was made in inspiration of my friend's ability to communicate non-verbally and pairs well with “Bat Witch Crazy”.
